Jerrab, the only answer you gave that I don't entirely agree with is where you claim Jesus Christ did battle with evil during his life on earth.  About the most you can say about that is that he got angry with the money-changers who were using the Temple, a holy place, to conduct business.  And, you can say that Jesus battled evil by teaching the world to love and be kind as opposed to hate. 

But, Jesus did not do battle against evil in the traditional sense during his time on earth. Nor did he defeat evil (during his lifetime), or even put much of a dent in it (although, perhaps he planted the seeds to eradicate evil in the future).

I see a lot of evil in the world. If Jesus were alive here on earth today, would people vote for him to be President of the United States?  Doubtful. Mainly because that is not what we want or expect from a presidential leader who is supposed to protect our country from foreign threats.
