he was talking to everyone who was there, jews and non jews. the jews understood he was saying the old testament was wrong, they probably did not like it.

I guess you learned this in the Unicorn-tarian Church where they teach revisionist history, trans-mania, that Jesus was using his Universal Translator from Star Trek, and broadcasting to the world on Universalisam TV. 

If you actually read the Sermon on the Mount, and also read the Old Testament, you will see that Jesus makes a bunch of references to the Old Testament Book of Psalms in this Sermon.
