An Amazon spokesperson says the e-commerce giant was never considering adding import fees on all purchases to show the cost of President Donald Trump’s new tariffs, dismissing a report in Punchbowl News on Tuesday morning that prompted an attack from the White House.

“The team that runs our ultra-low-cost Amazon Haul store has considered listing import charges on certain products,” the spokesperson said. “This was never a consideration for the main Amazon site and nothing has been implemented on any Amazon properties.” White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt, answering a question about the Punchbowl report, accused Amazon of “a hostile and political act” earlier Tuesday.

You keep measuring everyone else’s logic while refusing to apply even basic analysis to your own (hence, rules don't apply to narcissists). So here’s a real question (brace yourself):

If tariffs are “costless” only until measured, can you define what metric you believe best captures their real impact—and explain why it's valid?
