I've spent a lot of time in Mexico - and I don't mean just in tourist areas. I've driven the countryside all over Baja. I've spent weeks in Morelia and in Mexico City. I've spent days on the Meskin Riveria and in and around Cancun. So we're talking both coasts and inland, too. I'm sure there may be open sewage SOMEWHERE in Mexico. Around this time [[[60 Minutes]]] showed a booming business in Mexico...companies that specialized in modifying SUVs to be bullet proof and hi jack proof. The claim was something like 50 kidnappings [IIRC] of the wealthy happened in Mexico every day. The wealthiest Mexicans had drivers that graduated from special driving schools.
