Queer men hate women. They befriend lonely women as a joke, but they really despise them. 95% of men are heterosexual, and those men don't want to be associated with queers for lots of reasons. That leaves 5% of the men out there, and outside of a gay bar, there really aren't other men for them to be comfortable around. So, they turn to women for company, but at the same time they despise them and see them as competition.
