Johnson was slimy. Not that I knew him personally or anything like that - just read a good bit about him. He was one of the first Democrat ballot stuffers. I know they say johnson ducked but to me he would be too cautious to be near an assignation attempt and it would not matter to whoever wanted the viet nam war because mccormic was next in line and was all for the viet nam war.
