President Trump imposed a 25% tariff on imported vehicles and car parts, effective April 3, 2025, and May 3, 2025, respectively. This measure was intended to protect and strengthen the U.S. automotive sector. The tariff on complete automobiles went into effect April 3, 2025, and the tariff on auto parts will become effective as of May 3, 2025
