Yeah, I've seen a ton of trees redirected by neighboring stands, up in the pac northwest. But I wasn't anywhere close - I never felled trees for a living. I would cut a few fat doug firs every year for firewood. And I was always pretty skeered when I did it. But this was out in the woods -no need for tying anything off. What I was skeered of is getting smeared by a bounce from hitting a neighboring tree or from getting tangled in the canopy.
Yup. A falling tree has no friends.
The tangled up, almost down, tree is a **** pain in the *** and very dangerous to mess with.
Even what appears to be a "little" tree... Think of how much fun a 4x4x8ft feels landing on your foot.
Now multiply that about 20 times...
