The Soviet Union threw the few well educated people and its few resources into its military, while the entire populace suffered deprivation. It was a 3rd World country with nukes and a huge army.

They were incapable of producing any decent product for the consumer market, even if we gave them the technology and the knowledge to manufacture.

In contrast, China applied limited Free Market principles that over time turned its economy into a self sustaining, resourceful powerhouse that was capable of research and innovation.

Truly Communist countries cannot have strong economies.

Get a freaking clue.
