Thanks for admitting how little you know about important history, particularly about Free Markets.

Pinochet did, when a Chicago U educated economist had the courage to recommend Free Market policies. Everyone else in the room apparently was intimidated and aghast.

Economic policies were "liberalized," then as the country became the most economically successful in all of Latin America, democracy was restored.

The Leftists are typically trying to undo the policies that worked; to apply Socialistic policies.
