In Suffolk, VA, a "Senior Alert" is used when a person over 60 with a cognitive impairment has gone missing and is believed to be at risk. This alert is similar to an AMBER Alert but is specifically designed to notify the public about missing elderly individuals who may be vulnerable due to their cognitive impairment.
Sometimes it is called a Sliver Alert.
