Never cared much for Jimi...he must have been on speed. It was way faster than you hear on the radio, and radio stations have been known to play songs faster to gain more advertising time.
Jimi was a stoner with a wah wah pedal, Marshall Stack, and played an upside down Stratocaster while Black. According to the left...he had it all.

Jimi spent a lot of time learning to move his hand up and down the guitar neck but in my opinion he sucked and there wasn't any real music present.
His playing style was extremely simple, but it sounded way cool right after he and the audience dropped acid to the sound of his wah wah peddle.
