You say he's playing a complex game and I still think it's just the punch, gather himself, now look out.

"Redundant" is again making the assumption those bombers only carry nukes... they don't.
It has weakened the overall arsenal and bloodied the nose of "the bully". Note the quotation marks.
On the world stage, Putin has a huge ego as big as any other world leader. He REALLY didn't like that ****.

My speculation is he will try to put a decisive end to the Uke problem and the cat 'n' mouse stuff is done.
THAT could be the start of the Big Stuff (depends how he does it).
