There have been four publicly confirmed assassination attempts on Donald Trump since he entered politics. The most significant occurred on July 13, 2024, during a campaign rally in Butler, Pennsylvania, where Trump was shot in the ear by a gunman firing from a rooftop. Another attempt took place in West Palm Beach, Florida, where a suspect was caught hiding along a golf course with a semiautomatic rifle aimed at Trump. 

Other incidents include a 2016 Las Vegas rally, where a man tried to steal a police officer’s firearm to shoot Trump, and a 2017 forklift attack, where an individual attempted to ram Trump’s motorcade. 

Investigations into these incidents are ongoing, with authorities continuing to assess security measures.
