Yes, it did originate in the lab AND US money was used to fund the research.  3.7 million was given to EcoHealth Alliance by the NIH under your Hero, Fauci.  Who in turned gave 600,000 to the Wuhan lab.  Three other labs in China also received funding.

The argument now concerns whether or not they were doing gain of function research, which Fauci denies.
