I remember reading the OP, noting the level of vocabulary and tone being remeniscent of what made print centuries ago, and deciding, "This certainly is not his own screed - he isn't capable." And then to turn around and see him providing a sort of gloassary of terms...I about fell backward, just to follow my eyes.

As regards the vulgar level of thought which is put forth for public consumption today, I am a veritable Miniver Cheevy of resentment. I MISS the kind of writing that the OP presents. It's the level of writing on which I cut my literary teeth. To put it mildly, I had no need of a glossary of terms. That he presented one rather strongly suggests that he did.

It's a narcissist thing. He needs to feel intellectually superior, because he knows he is dumber than a box of rocks.
