You should have had a generator years ago. You have really **** things up. You have let your wife down BIGLY. Yes, I invested in a 24kw Generac whole house gen years ago. The whole package (500-gal propane tank) cost 15,000 installed. You are a very cheap and selfish man Johnny. Your wife could have done much better, and you have most certainly proved that to her. You will most certainly be living in a Duplex and taking selfies and putting them all over "mostly men" forums. I feel sorry for your wife Johnny. We have had like 6 power outages in 25 years.  The longest was 30 hours and it was freezing cold. We have propane back ups.The other 5 were no longer tthan two hours.

I am not spending 15K and maintaining it.  7500 watts is plenty, for around 750$  I know how to tap into my home grid. I can take the 7500 watts with us camping.

If the grid goes out and we need a whole house generator 24/7/365 we got bigger problems.  

I have been pleading for a solution for years with Mrs.  She is the one that is too cheap to let me buy one.  I am going to pick one up this morning. If we don't need it it will stay in the box and we'll return it.

Noted you are keen on wasting money.  No wonder our government is so phooked up.

Did you buy the 3kwhr battery too?  It was tax deductible in 2025.
