Meanwhile, in the real world, the Strait of Hormuz is governed by international law, Oman controls half of it, and Iran can’t decide what currency the rest of the world uses to buy oil. Most of the oil moving through the Strait isn’t even Iranian.
Countries helping secure Hormuz isn’t ‘Trump begging.’ It’s Japan, South Korea, Europe, and China protecting their own economies from a supply‑chain disaster.
