President Donald Trump said he hoped “many countries” would send warships to help open the Strait of Hormuz, a shipping route that’s become a flash point in the Iran war, hours after U.S. forces bombed military targets in an area key to Iran’s oil industry.
“Hopefully China, France, Japan, South Korea, the UK, and others, that are affected by this artificial constraint, will send Ships to the area so that the Hormuz Strait will no longer be a threat by a Nation that has been totally decapitated,” Trump said in a statement March 14.
