We are not the police. We are the robbers.

And what aggravates this disconnect is that you - you, in your own words this very day - made reference to the "we need/want their ****" excuse for making war on sovereign states and peoples. You also defended jackbootery with the argument that if we're not stepping on their necks, they'll be stepping on ours - a SECOND example this very day of you framing our action as other than the neocon canard of our "being the world police." I do not understand how your brain has the space for those utterances, and toleration of the "world police" narrative. I've heard of a game called cops and robbers, but our country being both cops and robbers is no game.

I know what our aircraft carriers are doing. The Frod and the Lincoln are limping away from combat, injured.

And I know what the western press is doing. Covering that up. But the rest of the world knows. And those of us who source from non-western journalists know. We don't know the truth, the whole truth, and nothing but the truth. But we know what our own press is covering up. And what they are covering up is that Iran got to the lincoln and the ford, caused death and failure, forced retreat.

trump caused the riots in iran that got the demonstrators killed, which is one reason some people approve the war which is not a 'excursion.'

-----------------------------------------------------President Trump is pondering military action in Iran. His administration has already been engaging in economic warfare. Recently, Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent said that strategy has been successful and took credit for setting up the conditions that collapsed Iran's economy and triggered protests. Iran's response to those protests left at least 7,000 people dead. NPR's Jackie Northam reports. JACKIE NORTHAM, BYLINE: Shortly after starting his second term in office, President Trump renewed his so-called maximum-pressure campaign against Iran, placing crippling sanctions on the country which severely impacted an already troubled economy. ADNAN MAZAREI: Most recently, the inflation rate has been about 40-some percent. Food price inflation has been about 70%.
