You don't know this, because you don't bother to inform yourself beyond the cartoon level. But Mark Rutte is a punch line. And what makes him a punch line is that he consistently says things out of school - makes promises he cannot keep. On top of that, he will say the opposite thing one day after saying some stupid ****. He literally has zero authority over the sovereign affairs of european nations. He is COMPLETELY talking out of school - swinging WAAY above his pay grade. Notice how many national leaders were standing next to that clown while he tried to buy time for his wishes to come true. Zero. If you had any level of sophistication, that fact alone would make Rutte's little comment fly-over material.
