HA!!  Well, Iran isn't PART of NATO, AND, NATO also forbids subsidizing terrorist organizations and the murdering of THOUSANDS of human beings for NO OTHER reason except that they are NOT MUSLIM (or some other issue with which a nation finds fault), and which they have NO DESIRE to be Muslim, or WHATEVER !!

Either Violence is ON the TABLE, OR it IS NOT... You CAN'T have it BOTH ways !!   

Iran CHOSE the RULES... NOW they can DIE by them !!

Article 5 mandates collective defense against "an" attacker, it is designed for external threats. Not the other way around you DUMB **** HOLE
