Yeah, he would. But, I don't think he would make it that far. He would question his Drill Sergeants to much, try do things his own way, would get his squad and platoon in trouble often, which would lead to what was called a "blanket party". Basically where his platoon is tired of punishment for his actions and one night everyone hits him with fists or a bar of soap in a sock. He would be held down with a blanket so he couldn't see how didn't.
He would than get a less than 180 day discharge. Not honorable, but not negative.
