I fired my 12.5" AR-10 using Federal .308 Win 150gr Power-Shok ammunition into a gel block, and the resulting wound channel is described as "extremely devastating". The cavitation from the entry wound extends nearly three-quarters of the way through the block. The projectile barely penetrated the opposite side, leading me to estimate a total penetration of 16 inches. What did exit was "remarkable". The expansion was substantial. I have obtained the tax stamp for this firearm, avoiding any complications associated with a "brace" for those with disabilities. It is equipped with a B5 stock. I keep this weapon in my vehicle at all times, as one can never predict an encounter with a bear or vermin of two legged varieties. The concussion is "sick" and the fireball is "glorious".
