It is a man-made construct.
Technology made it possible to manipulate human flesh to a desired form.
Couple that with a brain that's too weak to accept reality and you have a new normal.
Transsexuals have forced some other weak-brains into considering them "normal".
Normal is when there are enough people arguing that something is normal.

It helps when there is money to be made in the construction of frankenpeople.
