CBS didn’t lose a host... they lost a ratings anchor. Viewers didn’t tune in to say goodbye. The audience returned...like...the hostage situation is over. CBS execs pretending to be sad is the funniest thing he’s ever inspired. They’re already measuring the studio for someone who can tell a joke. The article calls it a “ratings plot twist.” The only twist is that it took this long for people to realize they didn’t actually like the show. Colbert leaves...ratings rise...CBS smiles politely...internet laughs...Colbert fans insist it’s a coincidence...math disagrees. And that’s the whole story. The man walked out… and the audience walked back in
Viewership cratered...
