Minneapolis’ next move to advance the LGBT agenda is already underway…
Earlier this year, Minneapolis began
reconsidering its longstanding ban on bathhouses and sex venues. Those bathhouses, which housed saunas and pools, were almost exclusively frequented by gay men seeking anonymous sex.
As a result, the bathhouses were a hive of sexually transmitted diseases. Despite this, the city is considering lifting that ban.Shockingly, City Council President Elliott Payne’s office published a document which argues that
“Public health advocates and social science research tell us that bathhouses and adult sex venues are important for promoting safer sex and enhancing HIV prevention, testing, and treatment.”
The City of Minneapolis will be hosting a drag show inside city hall to honor “the Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender and Queer (LGBTQ+) community.” According to the city, the Thursday drag show will be the first time a drag show has ever occurred in city hall.
“All are welcome to attend this historic event and join City Council in chambers for the reading of [a] resolution, which has unanimous support from the body,” the city wrote in a media advisory about the drag show.
In addition to the drag show, the city council will read a resolution recognizing June as “Pride” month. The resolution has the unanimous support of the city council.
