I cannot imagine a purer sport that futbol. Not even boxing has the athleticism and pure **** physical poetry.

If more soccer players could play like that, instead of looking like a bunch of 4 yr old ballerinas, then the sport would definitely get more traction in the US. 

 

More players do play like that.  Messi, Ronaldo, Mbappe, etc.  Although Messi did come to America, he is not really in his professional prime.  What the US needs is to figure out how to get top players to play in the MLS.  The MLS sucks.  It is comprised of players not good enough for top European leagues or former top players no longer in their prime.
