You say it as if it is a simple matter. It isn't.
Not long ago, israel's cheerleaders thought hezbollah was finished - their leadership decapitated. Trump's military thought the same of Iran.
TODAY, Israel is being told to behave by Trump - and Hezbollah is being told the same by Iran.
If EITHER side could destroy the other, they'd have done it years ago.
"Let Israel finish them." They've been trying and failing for decades. "Let israel finish them" is based on the lie that israel can - whether deliberate or stupid I cannot say.
There are that many us bases within a thousand miles of ANYWHERE. But the ones within a few hundred miles no longer count - they were bombed to rubble .
If the US could crush Iran without resorting to means so scandalous that the fire would cost more than the meal was worth, it would have done so. It CLEARLY tried and failed - and now, Trump is making the best of it. And so is Iran - they're getting paid. The very BEST deal Trump can make takes the US boot off of Iran's neck - and puts the US lapdog israel in its place.
