I never realized this until it was too late but back in the early 2010s, a lot of these "coding bootcamps" popped up. The concept seemed questionable and I expressed skepticism when a friend went into one of them.

We don't always make the best choices for ourselves. The two friends I helped with high school math both became CPA's. One spent 20 years working for the Saudi government and the other spent 40 years at Montana Power. They did really well. (There is no way in hell I could have sat at a desk for that many years)
