She may have been mixing up the person with the company. His question wasn't how much taxes the 1% of the 1% pay in taxes. He asked how much they pay in federal taxes. Amazon, Walmart, Apple, and many other fortune 500 companies are notorious for paying $0.00 in federal taxes. However, they personally pay 40% -50%.
