As of today, the SAVE America Act itself has not been finally enacted as part of a budget resolution package. However, House Republicans have taken a significant step toward incorporating parts of it into a new budget/reconciliation proposal.Here's the current status:
- The House Budget Committee has been preparing a FY 2027 budget resolution/reconciliation package that includes approximately $10 billion to encourage states to adopt provisions associated with the SAVE America Act, including voter identification and citizenship-verification measures.
- According to reports published today (July 15, 2026), House Republican leaders are seeking House passage of the broader package in the coming days, but it has not yet completed the full legislative process.
