After a state election official said the number of dead people found on NC voter rolls was "higher than we anticipated," Republican Mark Harris of NC called for immediate action to pass the Safeguard American Voter Eligibility (SAVE) Act.

As VA election officials work to clean up the state’s voter rolls, they announced the discovery of a huge number of dead people listed as registered voters in the state. After reviewing death records they found 18,990 deceased voters who had not been removed.“I knew that there was something there, but I didn’t know that it was this big,” said VA Elections Commissioner Susan Beals.
