The Dissenting Senators
The only two politicians to vote against the resolution were both Democrats:
- Senator Wayne Morse (D-OR)
- Senator Ernest Gruening (D-AK)
Senator Morse famously opposed the resolution on constitutional grounds, arguing that it gave the President a "blank check" and violated Article I of the Constitution by surrendering Congress's war-making power. He correctly predicted that history would view this as a grave mistake.
I really do fear the false flag attack.. Oarnge Nutjob will kill Americans and have "irrefutable proof" Iran did it to declare Marttial Law and delay the election.
