Anyone remember the Dem Controlled government pushing EVs and Hybrids?

a buddy has a maverick hybrid…if he doesn’t drive it regularly, it goes into low battery mode disabling all functions…IE FOB, auto start, etc…
I finally convinced him to put a maintainer on it…seems to have taken care of it…
FORD says it’s a software problem with a patch coming out in fall of 2024…
One thing I became aware of is if a battery starts to get old or run down for whatever reason, the vehicle software will begin to shed some features to prolong the essential functions. Proximity sensor on door handles, keyless entry, etc. begin to cease functioning. That's the first sign to replace the battery.
