It was also criticized by those on this forum.  I criticized it.  The context wasn't guns in general but taking them from unstable people without due process.

The responsibility  of a weapon is intense.

I  can count 3 suicides by firearm in my experience. 

One was very tragic.  Father of three. Working stress of radiology  during COVID..  Relationship  stress.. It was so unexpected...
 
6000 vets a year take their own lives.   17 die in school shootings..

Old people need to give up driving..  Gun owners need to be reminded maybe they need a friend to hold it for them sometimes..
