The Origin: When U.S. Transportation Secretary Pete Buttigieg and his husband, Chasten, took parental leave to care for their newborn adoptive twins, political commentator Tucker Carlson mocked the decision on television, joking that Buttigieg was "trying to figure out how to breastfeed".
The Response: Buttigieg publicly corrected the comment during an interview on CNN, clarifying that he and his husband were bottle-feeding their infants.
