The richest man in the world took a break from building rockets and cars and satellites and came to DC to help the GOP cut insane spending. Handed them talent, a blueprint, everything. Not only did Congress refuse to cut the spending, they basically ran him out of town.
Every dollar of government spending somewhere, somehow, eventually goes to somebody's pocket. And that pocket is keeping somebody in Washington rich. Spending will never truly be cut unless it's done at literal gunpoint.
