Hershey is....the great American economic tattletale
in the 1960's a Hershey bar cost 5 cents...a dollar would get you 20 of them
in 1971 that same Hershey bar cost you 10 cents....that same dollar would buy you 10 of them...half as many
In 2026 that same Hershey bar cost between $1.25 - $3.00 depending where purchase...that dollar now gets you no candy
1964 a 90% silver quarter buys you 5 Hershey bars
today that same 90% silver quarter is now worth $11.67 as of right now!
today four 1964 quarters ($1.00) are worth $46.68
interesting that the people complaining about Trump are the same people that did this to our dollar...he had nothing to do with any of this.
