It's more about the feds being in the pockets of the refiners.
Y'see, MUCH of the "cost" of gazerleen is the truck driver stopping at the state line to pour a vial of chemicals into a tank of gas to fit the state's legislated "recipe" for gas sold in that state.
Gas is the one thing that SHOULD be federally regulated under the interstate commerce clause. That's a no brainer. And it's the one thing that neither party will do, because it would leave the emperor naked. It would deprive the refiners of their excuse that state regulations - not their gouging - is at cause in your pump-rape.
Weed that I grew in my back yard is BORN under the interstate commerce clause. Cuz if I don't smoke it, who KNOWS where I might sell it. Guam, maybe. That **** is governed by the interstate commerce clause ON THE ROOT.
But gas? What the heck do gas and deisel have to do with interstate commerce, heck?
One recipe. That's how ya lower the price of gas.
Interesting…I know that’s always the excuse in MN….”summer blend” “winter blend” etc, etc, etc…
