The difference between the US and Ca was about 1.20 cents on Feb. 23, 2026..
Ca. added $.02/ gallon in direct taxes in the interim, and constraints particular to refining product compatible with Ca. regulations have added about $0.70 cents more.
So conditions peculiar to California have only added 0.72 cents to the price of diesel since Feb. 23, 2026...
But the price has risen by $3.50
