If you look into this yourself, the first question you should ask is whether the nordstream carried gas in a gaseous state or a liquid state. You will find that the answer is a gaseous state - so it was suitable for immediate use. It did not have to be regassified, which is its own set of logistical problems and risks and expenses.

That whole mess is/was suspicious as hell. It was a "deep state on watch" event, too.
