I am not Hispanic, I am an Anglo professor of Spanish who graduated from universities in New Mexico and Mexico. Anyone that knows anything about tacos knows that tacos are pretty much unique to the person who makes them. A taco is anything served on a tortilla. Tortillas can be white, made of wheat flour, or yellow, made of corn masa.
