At 1000 yards, you're on your own, Boss. I'm not a bench-rest, take all day to make the shot with $4K of glass kind of shooter.  That's more than half a mile. Or, another way to put it - the length of 14 1-acre tracts stacked up in a straight line.  So, the way I look at it is I'd have to be shooting someone on the far side of the big pasture abutting the very rear of property line.  Should I yell "hands up" at that distance?
