WASHINGTON, D.C. (WVLT) - Rep. Tim Burchett, the republican who represents the Knoxville region in the U.S. House, is now the chair of the House’s Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) subcommittee.Chairman James Comer of the House Oversight and Government Reform Committee appointed the representative of Tennessee’s second district to the job Friday.“I am honored Chairman Comer has bestowed this great responsibility upon me,” Burchett said. “The American people are fed up with wasteful spending and fraud in the federal government. Under my leadership, I will eliminate reckless spending, slash unnecessary bureaucratic red tape, and investigate the rampant fraud and abuse in government.”

I thought it was dead, my fault for reading slop from BV, Johnny, and rKelly.
