Presidents' Day, officially Washington's Birthday, started in the 1880s honoring George Washington (Feb. 22) but became a three-day holiday in 1971 via the Uniform Monday Holiday Act, falling on the third Monday in February and popularly celebrating all U.S. presidents, especially Lincoln (Feb. 12).

I said specifically Lincoln for his specific role. You illiterate pos. Presidents day lumps him in with both **** and the good presidents. Like I would ever put lincoln equal to Ovomit. That is insult to Lincoln.

He is included in the Presidents Day Club I thought.

But yeah, Lincoln didn't delay the elections and he had a Civil War in progress.

Lincoln carried through decades of anti slavery activism.  You can point a finger, but you miss the crowd.

Civil war wasn't fought to free the slaves. It was fought over states rights. Southern agriculture against northern industrial complex.

Who, other than @Vegas, is unfamiliar with the term "Cracker Work Ethic"?

There was so much working, you needed to recruit in Africa for associates to work beside you in the fields......before mint juleps and a few verses of Kumbaya on the verandah.
