Everyone keeps talking about “net zero” like it’s some heroic moonshot, but the numbers coming out now make it look more like the biggest accounting trick in modern history. We’ve spent trillions, and emissions barely moved. Most net‑zero pledges aren’t binding, aren’t funded, and aren’t even measurable. Companies got caught buying $4 offsets that don’t offset anything. Investigations found 94% of offsets are junk. Governments made promises they never planned to enforce. Corporations used “net zero” as PR cover while doing nothing. The world needs $6 trillion a year to make net zero real — we’re not even at half.

Why I don't believe in net zero anymore - and why that matters

Another reason we voted the GOP into power.  The LIE that an essential gas for life is a pollutant is now history. That said the projections we have heard since the early 70s were all wrong. The whole of this was guessing. We were facing an ice age. Then oil was going to be used up. Then catastrophic warming. Now it's climate change which is normal and expected. It became a political push by the democrats go fleece people and control voters. There is no way people want to live the green agenda.

There is no way that what we exhale and produce for plants to use is a pollutant.

So, let's recap the Ignorance here...shall we.

BV posted...Only the zealously stupid, like zeet and a few other local dim lights, believe that 1.87 has any meaning beyond the symbolic. Supply/Demand stooges who believe POTUS can control oil prices.........

Then he posted....Grifty was the entire reason gas went to 4.50 this year.

I wonder how noIQ’s attempts on cornering the cork market went once AOC’s cow flatulence narrative spread…one would think the market for flatulence plugs is endless…

Why is the concept that biofuel is closer to net zero than burning every last drop of Dinosaur Fuel so hard to grasp?

Technically dinosaur fuel is renewable and came from the sun to begin with.

Hemp grows like a matchstick house on fire..  Henry Ford built a car out of the stuff and fuel to make his car go..   Oil Tycoons said no thanks Henry...  It literaly pulls carbon out of the air better than the rainforests being cut down to grow beef. Like Oysters eat massive quantites of sewage spilling into the Chesapeake Bay down the Potomac..  It has been declared a National Disaster.. FEMA is on the job (prepare for stink for a long time, the 250th birthday party could literaly end up smelling like shyt, flushable wipes appear to have clogged a main causing the burst)

I'll concede undertanding the footprints in the carbon chains is not easy.

I like Molten Salt Reactors, but we still have to mine Uranium and enrich it.. I just want the contract to monitor the waste for eternity.

I am looking  forward to developing a passive solar air heater for the shed for expirementation..

Is carbon the reason we have so much oil?
