Israel’s decapitation strategy wipes out another two top Iranians

Israel’s killing of Iranian security chief Ali Larijani removes a veteran leader in Tehran, shaking a regime that had appeared to be weathering thousands of airstrikes with its grip on the country and war-fighting capability intact.It was accompanied by a successful Israeli attack on the head of the country’s repressive Basij militia the same day, a double blow that analysts said could further complicate the regime’s ability to run the war effort and maintain control, even though it isn’t likely to bring it down.

Larijani’s death, announced by Israel early Tuesday, was the biggest hit to the country’s leadership since Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei was killed by Israel in the opening salvo of the war. The 67-year-old veteran leader was a central figure in Iran’s aggressive, regionwide response to the U.S. and Israeli airstrikes, and oversaw the violent crackdown of antigovernment protests in January that left thousands dead.His killing could hurt the regime’s command and control, said Sima Shine, formerly head of research and evaluation at Israel’s Mossad foreign spy agency. Combined with Tuesday’s successful attack on Baji chief Brig. Gen. Gholamreza Soleimani, it could lead top figures in the regime to keep a lower profile and cut back communications for fear of being targeted, rendering the country’s decision-making more difficult, she said.“There is an accumulating effect,” Shine said. “Many have been killed.”

Defense Minister Israel Katz, who announced the two killings Tuesday, said Israel would continue to go after Iran’s leadership. Analysts have pointed to reduced volumes of missile and drone attacks by Iran as evidence the country’s military capabilities have been diminished by the waves of attacks. Iranians have also reported signs of street-level fraying of public order as security forces hide from attacks.

I go through this with Nearfurious all the time.

Helping everybody you can win is a better path in my opinion. Intentionally creating losers is not a good practice. ( Yeah we make a lot of them.. in red hats)

No fighting involved.  I know greed is the instinct but humanity may get past that and the world would be a much better place. We might even get out into space. If it's the last thing we'll never do.

Mostly **** propaganda. Iran sends zero missiles when it isn't being attacked. 

The gerald ford and the lincoln have both been put out of commission by Iranian missiles. A couple of million bucks to take out 30 billion is math that works better for Iran than for the satanists.

You are too generous. A country can survive without liberals. It will be dull. Possibly a bit retrograde. But it can survive quite effectively. 

The same cannot be said about conservatives. They are actually necessary to survival. 

Now, I certainly agree that we need both, to have the best outcomes. but the one is essential and the other is a luxury.

I've always had "a job". Never owned a business where I can talk myself into believing I am "my own boss".
As a result, I have learned there is almost never a completely black and white, one way or another situation.
