I've always had "a job". Never owned a business where I can talk myself into believing I am "my own boss".
As a result, I have learned there is almost never a completely black and white, one way or another situation.
Nuance, like it or not, is in the mix very nearly always.
We are not ants. Somebody is always worth more or worth less than somebody else.

I would go **** nutty if, for example, society required I believe in God or better **** act like it.
Is that a rigid conservative context? Seems to me it is (or would be).
I'd rather keep my spiritual side unfettered by others. I am fascinated by the speculation of the beginning of our universe.
There's something deeply spiritual and unfathomable about that. The dozens of "philosophers" writing chapter and verse then revering their own stories is interesting to a point. But to worship that stuff? Nah...

So, both sides of the con/lib puzzle are necessary IMO. One's worth more than the other though.

If given the chance, I would purge most of the prison population. The Soviet's single pistol shot was the most cost effective and humane.

It is easier to speak of murder than to carry through with it. Every person in a prison is an American who has family in the street - and most are loved.

MANY people in our prisons are wrong place / wrong time cases. Many are just mutts they fed into the system because they needed a usual suspect to take the fall. If not for the good sense and independent thinking of a couple of juries, Rittenhouse and Zimmerman would be among those you wish to kill.

The fact that you believe you would kill them summarily (I have my doubts about that) betrays a trust in our system that I cannot imagine it has earned. AGAIN, this is a system which imprisons men with women. And you trust it to have the right person, every time?

Not to mention, 25% of all the people in prison are Americans, though we are only 5% of the world's population. I tell ya this much. If you shot all of our prisoners, you'd melt a lot of gun barrels.

I am speaking of heinous crimes like child murder where DNA is conclusive. I would even promise leniency if they gave details of the crime that only they would know to cement the evidence. Then I would renege on the deal and blow their brains out.
