President Donald Trump issued a 48-hour ultimatum to Iran on Saturday, warning the U.S. would strike its power plants if the Strait of Hormuz is not reopened.
"If Iran doesn’t FULLY OPEN, WITHOUT THREAT, the Strait of Hormuz, within 48 HOURS from this exact point in time, the United States of America will hit and obliterate their various POWER PLANTS, STARTING WITH THE BIGGEST ONE FIRST!" Trump said in a post on Truth Social.

No one on earth and especially no one in Iran credits a **** word out of his mouth, anyway. Iran was in active talks when Trump attacked.The entire world understands that he does not honor deals and does not keep his word. But this ignores the real question. The REAL question is whether trump really wants the strait open at all.
The biggest loser in the closure is China. I predict Trump will proclaim that if ALL cannot transit, NONE can transit - and the US will take over as the ones who close the strait.
Unless you believe Trump is retarded, you cannot pretend he never considered the strait just might maybe possibly close after he bombed the **** out of Iran.

If you look at the moves Trump has made as all to one end, that end is clearly cutting off china's petro.
We are actively stirring up a color revolution in Myanmar to block China's silk road oil pipeline there.
We are in position to interdict the Strait of Malacca any time we choose - we're everywhere around it.
There are several alternative routes to the Strait of Malacca, and we have those triangulated, as well.
There are big pipelines in existence and in the works between Russia and China - we keep pretending to give Zelenski longer and longer range missiles and firing coordinates. In truth, NATO operators are pot-shotting Russia's storage and production.
The final delivery method is the Northern Route. Both China and Russia lead the planet in nuclear powered ice breakers. But the Northern Route has to pass close to Japan and South Korea. So that's the soft spot. OTOH, Trump is pissing off SK by stripping them of interdiction right when Rocket Man is acting up, and the Jappos have both declined assistance in the Strait of Hormuz and made a side deal with Iran to allow Japanese shipping to pass the strait unmolested.
The US has a prodigious blue water navy, but it's not worth much without friendly ports in Asia. I will be the first to admit that my intel is slightly less complete than Trump's. But from where I sit, as Trump tightens the noose on China (and Venezuela + Iran are nothing BUT a noose on China using drugs as an excuse in Venezuela and israel as a beard in Iran), he alienates the entire world. He is continuing the same policies as his predecessors, but with a mallet instead of a scalpel. Or so it appears to me.
